There is no account to close, because there is no account. Officers Time has no login and keeps no user database, so nearly everything it holds is already on your own device and goes when the app does.
Your dossier, your weekly timetable and its alarms, your study log, your drill results and streak, the questions cached for offline use, the recruitment notifications you have tracked, and your conversations with the Desk are all stored on the phone or tablet itself. None of it is copied to a server that we control, and none of it is tied to an identity.
To delete all of it: uninstall Officers Time. Removing the app removes its storage with it, on both Android and iOS. Nothing of yours is left behind, and nothing is retained anywhere for us to hand back or hold on to.
On Android you can also do this without uninstalling, from Settings → Apps → Officers Time → Storage → Clear storage. iOS has no equivalent per-app control, so on iOS uninstalling is the way.
When you ask the Desk or the Rule Director a question, that question is sent — together with the parts of your dossier that make the answer fit your posting — to our service, which passes it to the model that answers it. It is processed to produce the reply and is not written to any database of ours. There is therefore no stored copy for us to delete: the only copy that persists is the one in the conversation on your device, which uninstalling removes.
The free version shows advertising through Google AdMob, which uses your device’s advertising identifier. That identifier belongs to the device rather than to us, and we neither store it nor link it to anything else.
To reset or switch it off: on Android, Settings → Google → All services → Ads. On iOS, Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising. You can also read and change what Google holds against it at myadcenter.google.com.
The app downloads a daily story, the recruitment feed and the day’s questions from our Firebase project. Those are published documents, written once and read by everyone. They contain nothing about you, and reading them sends us nothing that identifies you.
If you take the yearly enrolment, the transaction is handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store. We never see your payment details. To cancel, refund or delete purchase records, use the store you bought it from — Google Play subscriptions, or Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iOS. We cannot delete records that only the store holds.
If you want confirmation in writing, or you believe we hold something this page has not accounted for, write to connect@akshaykotish.com and say what you are asking about. We will answer within thirty days. Because there is no account, we may need you to describe what you sent and roughly when, so we can look for it honestly rather than guess.
On the device: until you delete the app or clear its storage. On our side: nothing about you is kept, so there is no retention period to quote. Where a third party holds something — the store that took your payment, or Google’s advertising systems — their own policies govern it, and the controls above are the way to reach it.
